The Thule Motion 3 - XXL roof top box is the largest box that Thule offer, designed specifically for large families needing the maximum possible luggage carry capacity for holidays and camping trips. Thule have given this cargo box the perfect blend of design and functionality, using leading aerodynamic engineering the Motion 3 - XXL minimizes wind resistance and noise while ensuring a fuel efficient drive. The clean and modern styling not only adds to the look of the vehicle it tops but does so without compromising internal load space.
Dual side opening with an easy to use SlideLock system not only allows for quick access when loading or unloading but also ensures hassle free securing of the box lid. This is thanks to the SlideLock feature which has separate lock and open functions to automatically lock the Motion 3 - XXL roof box lid in place and indicate when the box is properly closed.
Fastening the Thule Motion 3 - XXL roof box on your roof is a quick and easy task using the supplied PowerClick quick-mount system. This fitting drop through the internal slide rail found on the inside of the box, which allows you to perfectly place the box on your roof bars to ensure you can still get access to your boot with minimal risk of contact between boot door and roof box. Once in the right place for your vehicle the Motion 3 - XXL can be secured in place by spinning the tensioning wheel on the top of the PowerClick mounting system, once this reaches the correct torque it will 'Click' showing this fitting is now properly secured. Once repeated on all 4 fittings the roof top cargo box can be loaded and securely closed ready for travel.

Roof Bar Spacing (Dimension D)
The Motion 3 XXL roof box has multiple roof bar mount positions, check that the spacing between the car's roof bars fall within the minimum and maximum spacing dimensions specified above.
Distance Between Roof Bar Feet (Dimension W)
The distance between the roof bar mounting clamps used by the Motion 3 XXL. Check that your roof rack feet have sufficient space to allow the bar clamps to fit. (W Out is the overall maximum width of the Motion 3 XXL )
Note - If you have T-Track roof bars, the Motion 3 M bar clamps can be upgraded to T-Track fittings - this will allow more flexibility in the mounting location on your roof bars. T-Track adapter 6976 is needed for 20mm T-Track slots used by Thule WingBars/SlideBars/ProBars, we also sell adapters for wider T-Tracks used by BMW/Renault/Mercedes)
