The Thule Motion XL roof box is a sleek and spacious cargo box designed with a class-leading aerodynamic shape and modern design. It not only looks great on the top of any vehicle but also has been constructed to reduce wind resistance and noise during travel ensuring a fuel-efficient ride.
Its generous internal space offers ample room which makes the Thule Motion 3 - XL Roof Box ideal for transporting suitcase or duffel bags style luggage as well as, camping gear or skis/snowboards.
The Motion 3 - XL comes with a dual-side opening for quick and easy access from either side of your vehicle, no matter where you end up needing to load or unload from. Both side of the Roof Box come with Thule's SlideLock system, which has separate locking and opening functions. This allows the box to automatically lock the lid in place and indicates when the box is closed securely.
Thule, have given the Motion 3 - XL its PowerClick easy mounting system that includes an integrated torque indicator which lets you know with a 'Click' when the box is properly mounted. These fittings drop through the inside of the box around your roof rack bars via a sliding track, which also lets you find the ideal location on your bars to enable boot access.
The Thule Motion 3 range is available in 7 sizes, meaning there is a box for almost any vehicle and cargo carrying requirements.

Will the Motion 3 XL fit my car?
Roof Bar Spacing (Dimension D)
The Motion 3 XL roof box has multiple roof bar mount positions, check that the spacing between the car's roof bars fall within the minimum and maximum spacing dimensions specified above.
Distance Between Roof Bar Feet (Dimension W)
The distance between the roof bar mounting clamps used by the Motion 3 XL. Check that your roof rack feet have sufficient space to allow the bar clamps to fit. (W Out is the overall maximum width of the Motion 3 XL)
Note - If you have T-Track roof bars, the Motion 3 XLbar clamps can be upgraded to T-Track fittings - this will allow more flexibility in the mounting location on your roof bars. T-Track adapter 6976 is needed for 20mm T-Track slots used by Thule WingBars/SlideBars/ProBars, we also sell adapters for wider T-Tracks used by BMW/Renault/Mercedes)
