A Sleek, Low Profile Roof Box Designed For Skis & Snowboards
The Thule Force XT Alpine is a narrow, low-profile roof box designed for use with winter sports equipment like skis and snowboards. Constructed from the tough & durable AeroSkin outer texture, it is not only practical but also has a stylish look on any car. Thule, have given the Force XT Alpine dual side opening for easy loading and unloading from either side of your vehicle.
Attaching & securing the Force XT Alpine to your roof rack is a simple task thanks to Thule’s PowerClick mountings. This torque limiting claw clamp system which grips your roof-bars comes with 'clicks off' so once the correct tension is reached you know about it. These clamps clip neatly into a slide track rail inside the base of the rooftop box, allowing easy adjustment to a wide range of roof-rack widths. This then allows the Alpine box to be mounted forward or backwards on the roof to give unobstructed rear boot access.
To keep your cargo safe and secure inside the Alpine roof box, Thule have fitted it with their LockKnob locking system which has 3 locks, front back and side. These must be properly secured in place when closing the box, otherwise the LockKnob will not allow the Thule Comfort key to be released from the roof box. This very handy system protects both your luggage and the included Comfort key itself.
Thanks for the narrow shape of the Alpine model, it's also a popular choice for use alongside other cargo on the roof rack from kayaks to bikes.

Roof Bar Spacing (Dimension D)
The Force XT Alpine roof box has multiple roof bar mount positions, check that the spacing between the car's roof bars fall within the minimum and maximum spacing dimensions specified above.
Distance Between Roof Bar Feet (Dimension W)
The distance between the PowerClick roof bar mounting clamps used by the Force XT Alpine . Check that your roof rack feet have sufficient space to allow the bar clamps to fit. (W Out is the overall maximum width of the Force XT Alpine )
Note - If you have T-Track roof bars, the Force XT Alpine clamps can be upgraded to T-Track fittings - this will allow more flexibility in the mounting location on your roof bars. T-Track adapter 6976 is needed for 20mm T-Track slots used by Thule WingBars/SlideBars/ProBars, we also sell adapters for wider T-Tracks used by BMW/Renault/Mercedes)
