A Lowering Rack To Make For Easier Loading

The Dropracks XL is a brilliant solution for those in need of a roofrack that lowers down to a more manageable level in order to load and unload heavier items such as bikes, kayaks, canoes, roof boxes, or rooftents. This rack is perfectly suited for slightly higher vehicles such as SUVs, 4x4 and Vans, the likes of which can be a struggle to get along with when having to lift and load.

This is one of the most innovative lowering rack systems which will raise and lower down the side of your vehicle. Using a cranking handle with a built in clutch system to raise and lower, the clutch system enables you to stop anytime when raising or lowering the rack, ensuring that your load remains in the same place when you stop. An extendable crank handle can be used at the shorter length for lighter loads or at the longer extended length for raising or lowering heavier loads. 

The Dropracks XL comes with a grippy rubber strip in the top of the bars to not only give extra friction to your load but also to protect your gear when loaded. A T-Track rail in the top of each bar has been designed to allow specific carriers for bikes, kayaks, canoes, roofboxes or roof tents to be easily added.

Dropracks are available in 2 other sizes the Dropracks Regular for smaller vehicles or the Dropracks TVE for taller vehicles like camper vans.

The Dropracks systems are only compatible with vehicles using raised roof rails, flush roof rails or fixing points in the roof, fixing are not included. This rack can be used with certain existing Thule fittings. No Dropracks are compatible with vehicles that use clamp style attachments that grip under the doors.
