Thule SnowPack Extender

A Ski Or Snowbaord Carrier That Slides For Easier Loading

The Thule SnowPack Extender is a roofrack mounted SnowPack - L carrier but with the advantage of being able to slide out from the side of your vehicle. This makes for much easier access when loading and unloading, especially when trying to reach the far side of the carrier. Thanks to the 62.5cm arm load space it can take up to 5 pairs of skis or 2 snowboards. The raised sliding system provides enough clearance to mount skis base to base without risking roof to binding contact even for those using taller bindings.

A lockable release button easily open the load area, Thule have made these buttons oversized for use with Snow gloves. The simple to use slide out system is activated off a flick lever at the end of the load area, which then allows you to slide the carrier out over the side of the vehicle.

Ultra-soft rubberised pads protect from damage as well as grip your alpine equipment during transportation. Once you are finished loading the carrier can be slid back over the vehicle, locked in place with the flick lever and then the top clamp can be lowered into place over your Skis or Snowboards. A vertical spring clamp system evenly tensions the carrier for a secure hold, finally the oversized release button locks the carrier in place.

The Thule SnowPack Extender comes with 31mm T-Track bolts included allowing you to mount onto Thule roof racks bars such as WingBars, ProBars, and AeroBars with a T-Track rail in  the top.

To mount the SnowPack Extender onto Thule Square Bars the included 16mm T bolts must be used alongside the additional 8897 Thule SquareBar Adapter.

Mounting onto non-Thule roof racks with a larger accessory T-Track is possible it will just require the additional 31mm 24x30mm T-Track bolts in the 8896 T-Track Adapter kit.
