Hard Shell Compact and Aerodynamic Roof Tent

The Thule basin is the ultimate hybrid system which combines an easy to deploy rooftop tent and cargo carrier all in one! The Thule Basin Tent pops up in under a minute and the hard-shell exterior makes this rooftop tent ideally suited for harsh weather conditions. The roof is insulated to help to control the temperature inside the tent and reduce noise.

Access is easy via the sturdy  telescoping ladder that can be attached to either side of the tent as needed. The fabric canopy is weather resistant, durable and breathable for extra protection and comfort. The mesh insect resistant panels offer plenty of ventilation and open for more airflow or just  let you enjoy a clear view of the landscape around you. A comfortable foam mattress with removable cover is included.

When closed the hard shell has a sleek profile and minimises wind resistance so optimising fuel consumption. The tent can be unzipped and removed in just a few minutes so the hard shell can then be used as a cargo carrying roof box! The two-part Hard Shell has secure clips to hold it closed during journeys. Release the clips at both ends to open as a rooftop tent or, if converted to a cargo carrier, open one side to easily access gear.

The Thule Basin is compatible with all Thule Evo roof racks – make sure to check your vehicle roof load specifications and roof rack weight limitations for all feet and fit kits, as well as other roof racks. The mounting brackets are very easy to install and there is a torque limiter to ensure you are securely loaded. You can also easily lock the tent to your roof rack or roof platform for peace of mind when the vehicle is unattended.
